ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
The Brazilian centre-back went down in the first 15 minutes of the Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday and had to be replaced by Jakub Kiwior. With the north London side set to take on European champions Madrid next week, the Gunners fans fear the worst.

WHAT THE FANS ARE SAYING
One fan, @Moratarse, urged the Gunners to use performing-enhancing drugs on Riccardo Calafiori to get him fit for the quarter-final, writing on X: "Pump Calafiori with every PED known to man I do not wanna see Kiwior vs Mbappe next week."
Another, @bhavss14, wrote: "Saka comes back from a hamstring. Gabriel gets injured with a hamstring. Our luck is horrid."
"Sorry i’m not watching the madrid game without gabriel. i’m going to throw up," said @m1nuyln.
@_PhilCosta wrote: "If that's a hamstring problem, Gabriel could miss both Real Madrid games. This season has been absolutely cursed."
@ChifeDr said: "Gabriel off injured! We have a champions League game against Real Madrid for Christ’s sake! And who do we have? The butter footed Kiwior! Must be an Arsenal curse or something."
@Jevickers24: "Arsenal’s season is all but over. Your only chance against Madrid was a solid defense, but now with Calafiori & Gabriel out, it’s looking grim."
"Lmao our injury luck has been comical. 2 weeks off for the team, Gabriel injured before Madrid. We’re getting washed," was @SaliMartinaj's view.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The situation grew even more grim for Mikel Arteta's men when Jurrien Timber went down just before the half hour mark and required treatment. While the Dutchman managed to continue, the scare only worsened the Gunners fans' fear.
@Ritablacknshine said: "Arteta no even tell Timber sorry, just play ball for me. Man’s weak."
"Saka back then we lose Gabriel and Timber within half an hour," said @lewafc98. "Honestly couldn’t write it."
"Timber down now, Madrid are scoring 10," @plumebrotha said, while @IYIono added: "White, Gabriel and now Timber all in the span of 2 days… Can’t forget Calafiori on international duty too."
